Η τελευταία αμιγώς υπαίθρια προοβολή, θα μας βρει στα Τουρκοβούνια κάτω απ' το σημείο που λέγεται Λιβάδι των Θεών (όνομα και πράγμα), την Κυριακή 24/9 στις 20.00. Για ένα μοναδικό πρόγραμμα που αποτελείται από 14 ταινίες μικρού μήκους.
Στο πρώτο μέρος, που θα ξεκινήσει αυστηρά στις 20.15, θα δούμε ένα ευρύ φάσμα ταινιών. Ταινίες digital - video art όπως είναι το Rage της Katherina Sadovsky και το lifesign @ praktiker athens του Karl Heinz Jeron. Ταινίες video-performance όπως είναι τα Voi che udite il mio lamento και Senti, bell'idol mio της χορεύτριας Marianela Leon Ruiz, όπως είναι το Guggenheim της Marta Moreno Munoz και τo Desperate Housewife της Βίκυς Φιλίππα και του Quantum Body Athens Butoh Dance Group. Ενώ τέλος στην ίδια ενότητα θα βρούμε ταινίες πορνογραφίας, όπως το I Love Athens της Rosario Gallardo, το Do Deep Sea Creatures Dry της Ζωής Μαντά και το Never Forget Death του Tomas Orrego.
Στο δεύτερο μέρος της βραδιάς που θα ξεκινήσει στις 22.00 θα δούμε πέντε μοναδικές μικρού μήκους ταινίες. Θα δούμε την τελευταία ταινία της Yuri Muraoka, το εκπληκτικό The Eyeball Person. Στο ππρόγραμμα άλλη μία σκηνοθέτιδα που αγαπάμε κι έχουμε παρουσιάσει εκτενώς τη δουλειά της, η Alexandra Gulea με το Flying Sheep, μια ταινία γυιρισμένη στην βόρεια ήπειρο, όπου η Alexandra Gulea μας ξετυλίγει μια αυτοπροσωππογραφική ιστορία, συνδεδεμένη με τις ρίζες της. Στο ίδιο μέρος θα δούμε το Porcupine (Nhím) των Nicolas Graux και Minh Quy Truong, το When Flamingos Fall from the Sky του Dragos Hanciu και το Bildwerden της Christiana Perschon. Επί της ουσίας, αυτό το πρόγραμμα απαρτίζεται από πολύ καινούριες ταινίες, που ήταν και αυτές που ξεχώρισα στις περσινές μου επισκέψεις στα φεστιβάλ της Jihlava, του Rotterdam και του Oberhausen.

Το βίντεο-περφόρμανς "Guggenheim" δημιουργήθηκε για ένα φεστιβάλ εναλλακτικής τέχνης που έλαβε χώρα στο Μουσείο Guggenheim στο Μπιλμπάο, αλλά δυστυχώς η προγραμματισμένη προβολή στις 12 Μαΐου 2011 δεν πραγματοποιήθηκε.
Σε αυτό το βίντεο, η περφόρμερ καταστρέφει μια ντουλάπα γεμάτη κασέτες VHS με την ένδειξη "Guggenheim", πρώτα με ένα τσεκούρι και στη συνέχεια με ένα τελετουργικό που περιλαμβάνει το κάψιμο της ντουλάπας και των κασετών. Το έργο αυτό πραγματεύεται την ιδέα της διάλυσης του ναρκισσισμού της καλλιτέχνιδας, τα αντιφατικά συναισθήματά απέναντι στην ίδια της την πρακτική και τη συγκρουσιακή σχέση της με τους "θεσμούς της τέχνης".

Καθώς οι καλλιτέχνες γερνούν και γίνονται εύθραυστοι, αντιμετωπίζουν την προοπτική να μην είναι πλέον σε θέση να εκτελέσουν τις χειρονομίες της δημιουργίας. Το πρώτο πλάνο του BILDWERDEN καδράρει την αυστριακή καλλιτέχνιδα Isolde Maria Joham, 90 ετών σήμερα, εκτός κέντρου, με τα χέρια της να τρέμουν. Η Christiana Perschon (SHE IS THE OTHER GAZE) της επιτρέπει μια νέα χειρονομία: να ανέβει σε ένα σκελετό σκάλας και να ποζάρει, χαμογελώντας μπροστά στους μεγάλους καμβάδες της. Η Ιζόλδη τρέμει λίγο, αλλά το ίδιο κάνει και το πουλί που βλέπουμε να απογειώνεται σε ένα κλαδί, όπως και οι ίδιες οι σκάλες- τίποτα σε αυτόν τον κόσμο δεν είναι σταθερά άκαμπτο. Όπως λέει χαρούμενα η σκηνοθέτης στην Ιζόλδη: "Τώρα έχεις ξεπεράσει το κάδρο".

Ένα κορίτσι αναπολεί τη συνάντηση με ένα μυστηριώδες πλάσμα. Αλλά σε αυτό το ταξίδι μέσα σε ένα χειμωνιάτικο τοπίο, η γραμμή μεταξύ αναμνήσεων και φαντασίας γίνεται θολή.

(2023, Ιαπωνία, 12')Αυτή η ταινία είναι για τα βλέμματα και τους αποχαιρετισμούς. Μια προσπάθεια να πλέξει εικόνες με λέξεις και να πλέξει ένα ποίημα με εικόνες. The last purely open-air screening, will find us at Tourkovounia under the spot called the Meadow of the Gods (name and thing), on Sunday 24/9 at 20.00. For a unique program consisting of 14 short films.
The first part, starting strictly at 20.15, will see a wide range of films. Digital - video art films such as Rage by Katherina Sadovsky and lifesign @ praktiker athens by Karl Heinz Jeron. Video-performance films such as Voi che udite il mio lamento and Senti, bell'idol mio by dancer Marianela Leon Ruiz, such as Guggenheim by Marta Moreno Munoz and Desperate Housewife by Vicky Philippa and Quantum Body Athens Butoh Dance Group. Finally, in the same section we will find pornographic films such as Rosario Gallardo's I Love Athens, Zoe Manda's Do Deep Sea Creatures Dry and Tomas Orrego's Never Forget Death.
The second part of the evening, which will start at 22.00, will feature five unique short films. We will be screening Yuri Muraoka's latest film, the amazing The Eyeball Person. On the program is another filmmaker we love and have featured her work extensively, Alexandra Gulea with Flying Sheep, a film shot on the northern continent, where Alexandra Gulea unfolds a self-portrait story connected to her roots. In the same section we will see Porcupine (Nhím) by Nicolas Graux and Minh Quy Truong, Dragos Hanciu's When Flamingos Fall from the Sky and Christiana Perschon's Bildwerden. In essence, this programme is made up of very new films, which were the ones that impressed me at last year's edition of Jihlava, Rotterdam and Oberhausen festivals.

The video-performance “Guggenheim” was created for an alternative art festival that took place at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, but unfortunately the scheduled screening on the 12th of May 2011 was
canceled. In this video, the performer destroys a wardrobe full of VHS tapes labeled ‘Guggenheim´, first with an axe, followed by a ritualistic burning of the wardrobe and tapes. This work deals with the idea of the artist’s dissolution of her own narcissism, her contradicting sentiments towards her own practice and its conflicting relationship with the ‘art institutions’.

being able to perform the gestures of creation. The first shot of
BILDWERDEN frames the Austrian artist Isolde Maria Joham, now 90,
off-center, her hands shaking. Christiana Perschon (SHE IS THE OTHER
GAZE) allows her a new gesture: to climb a stair frame and pose, smiling
in front of her large canvases. Isolde trembles a little, but so does
the bird we see alighting on a branch, as do the stairs themselves;
nothing in this world is fixed rigid. As the filmmaker says to Isolde,
happily: “Now you’ve outgrown the frame”.
