Αυτή την Κυριακή είμαστε στην ευχάριστη θέση να επιστρέφουμε στα αγαπημένα μας Εξάρχεια, για να κλείσουμε με μια προβολή το διήμερο φεστιβάλ του Zinefest. Ελάτε και το Σάββατο και την Κυριακή στο προαύλιο της εκκλησίας του Αγίου Νικόλα στην Ασκληπειού, να βρείτε χειροποίητα ζινάκια κι άλλα καλούδια!
Στην προβολή μας, που θα γίνει πίσω στο θεατράκι το βράδυ (21.15) της Κυριακής, θα έχουμε την χαρά να δείξουμε το Codex Atanicus του Carlos Atanes. Μια άτυπη ταινία - τριλογία (που πήρε αυτή τη μορφή το 2007) και εμπεριέχει τις τρεις μικρού μήκους ταινίες του σκηνοθέτη Metaminds & Metabodies (1995)Morfing (1996)Welcome to Spain (1999). Το σινεμά του Carlos Atanes είναι όσα λατρεύω να βλέπω στο σινεμά. Κινηματογράφος άμεσος, παρορμητικός, σωματικός, προβοκατόρικος, μαύρο χιούμορ, ανίερος, επιθετικός και κυρίως χειροποίητος και ανεξάρτητος.
Ο δημιουργός είναι επίσης ένα παράδειιγμα δημιουργικής φρενήτιδας. Περισσότερες από 30 ταινίες τα τελευταία 35 χρόνια, όπως και πολλά ανεβασμένα θεατρικά και κείμενα! Μέλος επίσης της θρυλικής συμμαχίας "Filmmakers' Coop". Ελπίζω να τον έχουμε μαζί μας σε κάποια μεταγενέστερη προβολή.

This Sunday, we’re happy to return to our beloved Exarchia to close the two-day Zinefest with a screening. Join us on both Saturday and Sunday at the courtyard of Agios Nikolaos church on Asklipiou street, where you’ll find handmade zines and other goodies.
For our screening, which will take place Sunday night (21:15) at the small open-air theater behind the church, we’re excited to present Codex Atanicus by Carlos Atanes.
An unconventional film trilogy (assembled in this form in 2007), bringing together three of the director’s short films:
Metaminds & Metabodies (1995), Morfing (1996), Welcome to Spain (1999).
Carlos Atanes’ cinema embodies everything I love about film: immediate, impulsive, physical, provocative — infused with black humor, irreverence, aggression, and above all, a handmade, independent spirit.
The filmmaker himself is a striking example of creative frenzy: over 30 films in the past 35 years, along with numerous theatrical works and writings. He is also a member of the legendary Filmmakers' Coop. Hopefully, we’ll have the chance to host him at a future screening.
